In 1991, not long after the victory of the 1990 Democratic Revolution, the School of Foreign Service was founded at the National University of Mongolia, which was the first higher education institute to train national personnel for foreign relations, in the history of Mongolia. Before then, our country trained its foreign relations specialists mainly in the Soviet Union and other socialist countries, and pursued a biased foreign policy that prioritized the interests of the Soviet bloc.
