Policy research center

In 2016, NUM decided to establish a Policy Research Center at the School of International Relations and Public Administration in order to develop its academic and research fields and to serve society and the public with research-based information and advice. This center aims to "invite prominent researchers, diplomats and specialists of Mongolia and create an academic whirlwind", "organize training and research at a high quality level, prepare competitive and flexible personnel, and young researchers of international relations, regional and development policies" "Professional preparation of future graduates and continuous development of graduates" has assumed the functions.

In the past, the activity of BST was entirely focused on the development of the national capacity of international studies and followed the following 2 main methods. In this, firstly, we publish research, news, and information on international relations, foreign policy, and security issues to the government, certain circles of society, and students - a magazine called "Policy News". From 2016 until now, 22 issues have been published, in which more than 70 articles by more than 30 scientists and researchers have been published, which is an important additional tool for training and research. Secondly, we have been focusing on the implementation of research projects by regularly organizing and participating in academic conferences and discussions on international relations and foreign policy. In June 2020, the "Mongolian Golden Path Association for International Studies" was established with the aim of coordinating the activities of governmental and non-governmental organizations, individual researchers and scientists in this field, and supporting the development of their capabilities.
