More information about 1 gallon bags of organic Southern Magnolia leaf litter. Bioactive Substrate.

Professionally dried Magnolia Leaf Litter. Ideal as a top-dressing for vivariums, or can be mixed into existing substrate. Provides cover for Isopods, Springtails, and small animals. Magnolia leaves hold up very well in humid environments, so they make a fabulous terrarium addition. A medium-sized leaf, incredibly leaves measure about 4-7 inches, but can vary quite a bit in length.

Leaf litter performs a remarkably important role in a naturalistic vivarium. It provides shelter, visual barriers, and hiding places for the vivarium inhabitants, such as poison dart frogs. Mimicking the role of dead plant matter in the rainforest, leaf litter also puts nutrients back into the environment, providing the stuff plants and microfauna need to thrive
