“Rip City” is the variety that got me hooked on dahlias as it was the first I grew successfully and was able to save over the winter. excellent for new or experienced dahlia lovers in a ideal color for late summer and fall bouquets.
The "Rip City" dahlia is a dark, almost black, informal decorative dahlia with large, velvety blooms, known for its long stems and prolific tuber production, making it a hot choice for cut flowers and gardens.
* Dark, almost black, burgundy, or plum-colored blooms.
* Bloom size 4-6 inches.
* 3-4 feet tall.
* Blooms from mid-summer to frost.
* Informal decorative.
* Known for producing a large number of tubers.
* Thrives in full sun, but tolerates light shade.
* solid, long stems, making it ideal for cutting
Each tuber is carefully inspected and will have at least one eye beginning to grow. Will be shipped in the same way I store them: in wood shavings in a ziploc bag. Keep in a cool, dark location until ready to plant.
