On March 27, 2023 H.E. Mr. Thorir Ibsen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iceland to the People’s Republic of China with accreditation to Mongolia, Thailand and Vietnam, paid a visit to the School of International Relations and Public Administration, National University of Mongolia and delivered an extended lecture on ‘The Overview of the Foreign Policy of Iceland as a Small State in a Globalized and Changing World’ to the professors of the SIRPA, researchers from the Mongolia’s Academy of Sciences, and students of the SIRPA, NUM under the framework of the ‘Guest Speakers Series’ project. Mr. Thorir Ibsen conducted an extended discussion with the audience and later answered to the questions asked beyond the lecture.

In prior to the lecture, Ambassador Thorir Ibsen has emphasized in the conversation with Mrs. Battogtokh J, Dean of the SIRPA, NUM that he would be pleased to fully support further reciprocal collaboration in intensifying bilateral bonds and cooperation between higher educational organizations and institutes, implementing joint academic research projects, and exchanging faculty staff and students in every possible way.
