“Best Paper Awards in Public Administration” was successfully held

The Public Administration Department successfully organized “Best Paper Awards in Public Administration” initiated by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. John Duffy, a professor at the School of Business and Public Policy, University of Alaska, Anchorage (UAA), USA.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. John Duffy has held senior executive positions in Alaska ’s local government for 30 years. Since 2017, he has been working as a guest professor at the Public Administration  Department, SPSIRPA, NUM. During this time, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. John Duffy has implemented many activities, including establishing, strengthening, and expanding the cooperation between the School of Business and Public Policy, UAA, and SPSIRPA, NUM.

The Best Paper Awards were organized with the aim of enhancing the academic skills of doctoral, master ’s, and bachelor’s students of the public administration program of NUM. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. John Duffy has been sponsoring the event with his own funding.

We are proudly announcing this year's awardees:

  • Ph.D candidates:
    • First Place (250$): Battsetseg Batjargal for the “Mongolia’s Human Resource Policy in the Forest Sector – Prospects” research paper
    • Second place ($100): Erdenesaikhan Ydamsuren for the ““Regional Development and New Cooperative in Mongolia” research paper
    • Third place (50$): Daiqing for the “Environmental Public Policy: The Case of Forests in Inner Mongolia” research paper
  • Bachelor students:
    • First Place (250$): Baasansuren Enkhtuvshin for the “Effects of ethical leadership of public administration senior executives on the work performance of employees (On the example of public administration employees in Dornod province)” research paper
    • Second Place (100$): Battuvshin Urtnasan for the “Improving the quality and access of e-services in the education sector (In the example of the UNUR general education school” research paper
    • Third Place (50$): Altangerel Zoljargal for the “Impact of public administration on Mongolia's environmental sustainability”research paper

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. John Duffy expressed that the quality of the research papers of the Public Administration Program students has been achieved at a high level, and even more, the Best Paper Awards will be annually organized in the coming years. We congratulate the Best Paper Awardees for their research results and wish our students all the best in the future. Furthermore, we would like to express our gratitude to Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c.
